Data & Account Deletion Request
App this applies to
Amerivio — U.S. citizenship civics-test study app, published by Amerivio, including the in-app Amerivio Audio Study (hands-free) mode. Amerivio has no sign-in, no user accounts, and no cloud profile: the “account” is the local profile you create inside the app.
Delete your profile inside the app
You can delete everything yourself, without contacting us:
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Tap Reset Progress to erase study data while keeping your profile, or
- Tap Delete Profile to erase the profile and all data tied to it. Confirm when prompted — the deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Uninstalling Amerivio also removes all locally stored app data from your device.
What is deleted
Deleting a profile (or uninstalling the app) removes:
- Profile information — name or nickname, age, years as a lawful permanent resident, state, interview date, and language preference
- Study progress and readiness figures
- Study history, including Audio Study position, speed, and repeat settings
- Mock-test history and scores
- Known Questions lists
- Reminders — study, interview, and follow-up notifications
- Any optional self-reported interview result
How to request deletion from us
If you joined the waitlist or sent us a message through amerivio.com, we hold the details you typed (such as name, email address, chosen platform, and message). Use the form on this page, write “Deletion request” in your message, and include the email address you originally used. We delete the matching records and confirm by reply, normally within 7 days and always within 30 days. There is nothing to request for app data — it never leaves your device.
What is retained, and for how long
- App profile and study data: retained on your device only, until you reset progress, delete the profile, clear app data, or uninstall the app. No copy is kept by us, so nothing remains after deletion.
- Website form submissions: retained only as long as needed to answer your message or notify you at launch, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Backup copies are overwritten within 30 days.
- Nothing else is retained: we keep no advertising identifiers, behavioral profiles, or voice recordings, and we do not sell personal information.
What we never store
Amerivio does not collect Social Security numbers, alien registration numbers, immigration file contents, payment information, or recordings of your voice. Spoken practice is converted to text by your device and is not uploaded or saved.
