Privacy Policy

This is a draft privacy policy and should be reviewed before public app-store launch.

1. Information We Collect

Amerivio may collect the following profile information to power study features:

  • Name/nickname
  • Age
  • Years as lawful permanent resident
  • State
  • Interview date
  • Language preferences
  • App settings
  • Study progress
  • Mock-test scores
  • Optional reported interview result

2. Microphone

Microphone access is used for spoken-answer practice. Speech recognition may use Android or device speech services to convert your spoken answer to text so it can be compared with the accepted answers.

3. Notifications

Notification permission is used for optional study, interview, and follow-up reminders. You can decline or disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

4. Progress Data

Study progress may be stored locally on the device so your Known Questions, readiness, and mock-test history remain available between sessions.

5. Anonymous Outcome Data

Any future sharing of anonymous pass/fail outcome data should be opt-in and require explicit consent before it is collected or transmitted.

6. Current Officials

Current official information may be refreshed from a secure remote data service in future versions so current-answer questions can stay up to date without a full app update.

7. Children

Amerivio is intended for people preparing for the naturalization process and is not designed as a children’s service.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-Party Services

Amerivio may rely on the following services now or in the future:

  • Google Play Services
  • Android speech recognition
  • Future analytics/backend providers
  • Apple services when iOS is released

10. Contact

Privacy questions can be sent to [ADD PRIVACY EMAIL].
