Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the Amerivio mobile app and the amerivio.com website handle information. Amerivio is an independent educational study-preparation service. It is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and is not affiliated with USCIS or the U.S. government.

The app asks for a small amount of profile information so it can tailor study tools such as the 65/20 special-consideration mode and interview reminders:

• Name or nickname
• Age
• Years as a lawful permanent resident
• State
• Interview date
• Language preference
• App settings, including audio speed and repeat preferences
• Study progress, Known Questions, and mock-test scores
• Optional self-reported interview result

This information is stored on your device. Amerivio does not require an account, and it does not collect your Social Security number, alien registration number, immigration file contents, or payment information.

Microphone access is used only when you start spoken-answer practice. Your speech is converted to text by your device's speech-recognition service so the app can compare your answer with the accepted answers. Amerivio does not record, store, or upload audio of your voice.

Notification permission is used for optional study, interview, and follow-up reminders. You can decline notifications when asked and turn them off at any time in your device settings without losing access to any study feature.

Study progress, readiness figures, mock-test history, and Audio Study position are stored locally on your device so they remain available between sessions. Resetting progress in the app clears this study data while keeping your profile and settings. Deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device.

When you submit the waitlist or contact form on amerivio.com, the information you type — such as your name, email address, chosen platform, and message — is stored in our secure backend so we can respond to you and notify you at launch. Form submissions are used only for that purpose. They are not sold, rented, or used for advertising, and they are not publicly readable.

If Amerivio ever shares anonymous, aggregated pass/fail outcome statistics, participation will be opt-in and will require your explicit consent before any data is collected or transmitted. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in app settings.

Answers to current-official questions may be refreshed from a secure Amerivio data service so they stay up to date without a full app update. These refresh requests fetch civics content only; they do not send your profile or study data.

Amerivio is intended for adults preparing for the naturalization process. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through our website forms, contact us and we will delete it.

Profile and study data remain on your device until you reset progress, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Website form submissions are kept only as long as needed to answer your message or notify you about launch, and are deleted on request.

You can, at any time:

• Edit or clear your profile information in the app
• Reset study progress without deleting your profile
• Decline or revoke microphone and notification permissions
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete information you sent through a website form

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. To exercise any of these, use the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable period. We do not sell personal information.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle, including encrypted transport for website submissions and access controls that keep submissions unreadable from the browser. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Amerivio relies on a limited set of service providers:

• Google Play services for Android app distribution
• Android device speech recognition for spoken-answer practice
• Our hosting and database provider for the website and form submissions
• Apple services if and when an iOS version is released

These providers process information only as needed to deliver their service. Amerivio does not include third-party advertising networks.

We may update this policy as Amerivio evolves. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, describe the update in the app or on this page. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
